The outdoor market season is already halfway over, but don't despair! August and September are the best time to shop for local produce as the variety from the farmers' fields and orchards is endless. Whether you're looking for an exciting colour of a favourite ingredient (purple beans or yellow watermelons, anyone?) or something you've never tried before, it's never easier to get a variety of fresh foods onto your plate than in late summer. Of course, our ready-to-eat food vendors and bakers are utilizing the best of the season as well, as many use those fun, seasonal ingredients in the meals and treats you can take home to enjoy!
