Fresh Sheet: September 9, 2015

Back to School is the Time for Healthy Fuel!
Join us WEDNESDAY in the Terwillegar Recreation Center Parking Lot from 4:00-7:30

This week is back-to-school for many SWEFM families, and we all know that can mean rushed mornings, tight budgets and frantically-packed lunches! This fall, make SWEFM part of your back-to-school routine by picking up healthy snacks and dinners that will fuel your favourite pupils for success. There are plenty of easy-to-grab snacks just waiting to be eaten, from fresh apples and plums to cherry tomatoes and whole-wheat cinnamon rolls. Of course, sometimes starting a new grade (or a new school!) calls for celebration, and our baked good vendors have the perfect treats for the occasion.

To help celebrate healthy school lunches and make grocery shopping a bit easier this month, you can enter our #LocalLunch contest on Facebook and Twitter until the end of market on September 9. Just share a photo of your healthy lunch with the hashtag #LocalLunch to be entered to win $50 in SWEFM Market Bucks!

Join us here on the "Market Fresh Sheet" every Tuesday to see what's fresh and happening at your favourite farmers' market!
