Fresh Sheet: July 23, 2014

It's a Midsummer Afternoon's Dream!
Join us WEDNESDAY in the Terwillegar Recreation Center Parking Lot from 4:30-7:30

The market will be waiting for you on Wednesday, with piles of fresh vegetables, deliciously ripe fruits from B.C., take-home meals to make your life easier, and wonderful jewelry and housewares in our artisan alley!

For market shopping tips, be sure to check out this page to ensure your market visit is everything it should be. And remember, please leave Fido at home- no dogs are allowed where food is being served!

As your favourite community market, we do our best to connect you to your neighbours!

Canadian Blood Services will be in our Community Tent this week, providing guests information about the importance of donating blood and where to donate in Southwest Edmonton.

Researchers from The University of Alberta will be next to the Community Tent recruiting for a study. They are looking for new moms no later than 3 months postpartum to participate in a study looking at energy metabolism. Essentially, they would like to learn how many calories are burned in a day and how efficient one's body is at using fat for energy. If you have recently had a baby, please stop by their tent and participate in their research study!

The Sprouts Program for kids is filled for the season, but families who missed out on registration can always access the Sprouts recipes online! Sprouts families are asked to participate in a study from University of Alberta. Participation in the study involves completing three short surveys over the next three months. Your participation in the the research study is voluntary, but much appreciated! For more information on the Sprouts Program and to see the Sprouts recipes for kids, click here.

Momstown Edmonton will be on site next to our Sprouts table doing fun crafts with the kids. Be sure to stop by and take part in a fun activity after spending your Sprouts token!
